Add a Client Login Page to Your Website
Motion.io's Client Login Pages enable your business to give customers on-the-fly access to visit their portals at any time. By adding the URL for your Client Login Page to a button, menu item, or link, you can provide a quick way for customers to access their portals directly from your external website.
📣 Note: The instructions below for adding a Client Login Page to your website are the same whether clients access their portals via a magic link or by entering a username and password.
How to Add a Client Login Page to Your Website
In your Motion.io account, select a project from your Projects Dashboard and navigate to the "Users" page. In the "Project Users" section, you will see a link where clients go to access their portals at any time. Copy the URL, and return to your website editor/admin dashboard.
In your website, there are several ways you can use the Client Portal Login URL you copied:
- Add a menu item labeled "Client Login" in your top navigation that redirects to the URL you copied.
- Add a button on any page of your website that links to your client portal login page.
🏆 Tip: The default URLs for Client Login Pages are yoursubdomain.motion.io/client for magic link portals and yoursubdomain.motion.io/client-login for password-protected portals. If you upgrade to Motion.io's Enterprise plan and configure your white-label settings, these links will automatically update to your custom domain.
