Creating a Checklist in Tasks
Using the checklist functionality within the motion.io Task Composer is a great way to organize subtasks and split a larger Task into smaller pieces.
How to Build a Checklist Into a Task
Either create a new Task or edit an existing one, and click "Checklist" on the right. This will automatically add the checklist below the details box. To add subtasks, click "+ Add an item".
Using Checklists for Clients
When creating a checklist for a Client Task, you may still assign multiple people and a due date for the original Task. The clients can find subtasks by going to the "My Tasks" tab and clicking on the Task.
Using Checklists as an Internal Team
On the Tasks page, you can tell which Tasks have subtasks built in by the small checkbox icon with the number of subtasks completed/subtasks created.
For Internal Tasks, you can assign a subtask to a particular team member and assign a due date.
